We are proud to announce that PhageLab has been recognized at The Yield Lab’s Global Dairy Sustainability Challenge, further highlighting our expertise in bacteriophage therapy and commitment to sustainable agriculture.
The Yield Lab, an early-stage investor in sustainable agtech, partnered with the Animal AgTech Innovation Summit to launch the Global Dairy Sustainability Challenge. Over 100 start-ups in animal agriculture submitted applications, each competing for a chance to pitch in front of industry leaders for a €100,000 prize, where our CEO, Hans Pieringer, had the honor of presenting PHAGEIN, our bacteriophage-based solution for the prevention of infectious diarrhea caused by E. coli and Salmonella spp. in lactating ruminants.
This award reinforces our role among industry-leading innovators, showcasing our 14 years of progress in bacteriophage research to address pressing challenges, such as antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
The Animal AgTech Innovation Summit was filled with dynamic collaboration, with a special emphasis on sustainability within the dairy sector. PhageLab stood out, blending scientific rigor with practical applications. “The recognition from pharmaceutical companies and large-scale funds reminds us that on a global scale we are just getting started, but we stand out due to our 14 years of experience and registered products in the market.” said our Business Data & Analytics Senior, Mauro Canaval, who was present at the event.
As we continue to innovate, we are setting new goals to extend our geographic reach, refine our technology, and tailor our communications to diverse stakeholders. This recognition propels us further along the path of sustainable, impactful growth, reinforcing PhageLab’s path to contribute to a more resilient and efficient agricultural industry.
